Last month, our team travelled across Toowoomba and the Southern Downs to attend a number of events, to catch up with clients and to participate in sponsorship opportunities.
Directors, Myles Smith and Amanda Roberts represented McConachie Stedman at the second quarterly Sports Darling Downs awards, presenting local athletics champion, Chloe Randall with an Incentive Award. Chloe recently won a bronze medal at the National Athletics Championships in the Girls Under 14 1500m, she also set a new personal best and finished 8th in the 800m final. On behalf of McConachie Stedman, congratulations Chloe!
Our Financial Planner, Rob Franklin took a trip in early August to the Southern Downs, visiting St George and Goondiwindi to touch base with a number of clients, take in the sights and to connect with the wider community. Rob typically visits the region every second month, so if you are local to the area, contact us to book in your free consultation the next time he is in town.
A few weeks later on the 23rd of August, Rob also attended the Seniors Week Expo hosted by U3A Toowoomba. The annual event was held at the HumeRidge Church of Christ complex and was officially opened by Councillor Geoff McDonald. More than 1700 people attended along with 74 other exhibitors. Rob provided a wide range of information about aged care, retirement planning and superannuation to guests.
