Our firm participates in social media in order to engage with individuals and organisations in the community, by providing daily feeds and information regarding our business, and the range of services provided.

While we encourage our followers to share thoughts and opinions on our social media pages, we expect this will be done in a respectful manner.

McConachie Stedman does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals or organisations post on our pages. Our goal is to share our news and information with as many as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our profile. Apart from any condition or warranty expressly required by law, McConachie Stedman provides no warranty and makes no claim in relation to the performance on our social media. In the event of any breach of a statutory condition or warranty, McConachie Stedman’s liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. You assume the risk of reading and acting upon information from any postings made on social media by other users. McConachie Stedman is not responsible or liable to you for any loss or damage caused by use of our social media, reliance on information obtained or otherwise arising from unauthorised, inaccurate or unlawful content.

McConachie Stedman reserves the right to enforce compliance with these rules. All comments posted on McConachie Stedman social media will be reviewed and may be deleted. Behaviours deemed inconsistent with these rules will result in the author being blocked or the removal of some or all of the comments made on our social media pages.

The following are examples of violations and would result in immediate action being taken:

  • Violating any laws, these rules or infringing any third party rights;
  • Hate speech;
  • Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity;
  • Nudity in profile pictures;
  • Defamation to an individual or organisation;
  • Name calling and/or personal attacks;
  • Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product;
  • Comments that infringe on copyrights;
  • Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile;
  • Links to offensive or inappropriate websites;
  • Collecting information about others without their consent;
  • Using any material obtained for commercial purposes; and
  • Other comments that the McConachie Stedman team deems inappropriate.

Any person who comments or posts on McConachie Stedman social media is responsible for their actions, whether or not you are aware of those actions. If you believe your own social media page has been compromised, we recommend you get in touch with the website administrators immediately.

Our social media pages are monitored regularly and we reserve the right to manage the postings in order to facilitate the orderly distribution of information and adherence to our policies and procedures. We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium, and trust that our followers ignore personal attacks and negative speech, until this can be dealt with accordingly by our moderators.

A firm No-SPAM policy is in effect and is strictly enforced by the moderator and SPAM filters have been put in place. Violators will be blocked from our social media pages.
